The nearby Recreation Park boasts a well-equipped outdoor playground ,a gymnasium for rainy days and a pool during the summer months . it is within easy strolling distance from town. Likewise, the Nature Center offers a small nature museum and walking trails around a picturesque lake. The Hudson Library offers a fun kid’s room and library featuring a dragon puzzle table, children’s computers and AWE tablets that are preloaded with fun learning materials. They also offer children’s story times every Thursday morning.
Cashiers is a little less concentrated in one area but it is entirely possible to explore its center on foot as well. The Village Green anchors this community and is the gathering place for Groovin’ on the Green, arts and crafts festivals and many other activities throughout the summer. It also boasts a delightful children’s playground and is an inviting greenspace to enjoy a picnic and mingle with neighbors and friends. From here you can visit several nearby restaurants and businesses, as well as make your way to the local recreation park and the Albert Carlton Library. The library is a great place to find information about local history, and offers ongoing activities for kids and adults.
