What little kid doesn’t grow up playing Pioneers? And who was the one that you could always count on, even if your journey across the Wild West was only pretend? Your horse, of course! On Saturday, June 25, 2016, from 10am to 2pm, the equestrian community of Bald Rock in Sapphire Valley will hold their bi-annual horse show fundraiser. This family friendly event is a favorite of kids both young enough to still play Pioneers and of those who have “aged out” of the game.
Landmark Realty Group is proud to be a supporter of the Bald Rock Horse Exhibition and Silent Auction, a fundraiser benefitting Friends of Panthertown Valley. Funds raised will support trail work in Panthertown Valley, a pristine nature reserve adjacent to Bald Rock known as the “Yosemite of the East.” Miles of hiking and horse trails wind throughout the valley leading to spectacular waterfalls and majestic vistas.
Admission is free to the event, though parking is a $10 donation per vehicle; carpooling is encouraged. Music, a silent auction, and family fun are all included, as well as the wonderful horse exhibition. Food can be purchased at the event but you’re welcome to bring a picnic, as well as lawn chairs and blankets. Gentle horses are brought out for children to pet, which is always a thrill for the little ones. For everyone’s safety, including the horses’, please leave your dogs at home.
Stop by the Landmark Realty Group table to say hello to our agent representatives and to learn more about the fantastic Bald Rock neighborhood. Even if you don’t own a horse or have any interest in them, you will find that Bald Rock is a very special, tight knit community. We hope to see you there!
DIRECTIONS: Bald Rock is located approximately 5 miles east of Cashiers at the top of Tray’s Island Road off of U.S. Highway 64. Turn at the entrance to Sapphire National Golf Club and Sapphire Brewing Company, then follow the signs to Bald Rock.
